“Don’t waste your time,” a fellow writer said to me when he learned I was planning to meet with a book club. “There are so few people there, there’s nothing in it for you?”
I respectfully disagree.
As an author of psychological suspense thrillers, I’ve been invited to several book clubs to talk about my novels. It’s a very engaging kind of contact with readers, and is unlike speaking at libraries, being on a panel of authors, or talking to members of an organization.
Love Gone Mad was free on a Give-Away program from June 2nd through June 5th. Over that four day period, there were 53,109 downloads of the novel. It now has 208 Amazon reviews with 138 5-star reviews and a 4.5-star average rating. Thank you to all those who downloaded the novel, are reading it and posting such fine reviews.
I’m very pleased to announce that the novella, THE FOOT SOLDIER received the Silver Award for Fiction at the Benjamin Franklin Award Ceremony last evening, May 28th, 2014. There were 1,500 entries.
